OUR VISION

In Telford & Wrekin our overriding ambition is to improve outcomes for every child and young person while closing the gap for those who are not achieving their full potential. The 2008 Joint Area Review (JAR) concluded that 'ambition for children and young people in Telford & Wrekin is outstanding'.

Agencies work together in partnership through the Children's Trust (see Children and Young People's Plan 2008-2011 PDF 4.6Mb, its Review 2008/09 and Refresh 2009/10 v2 PDF 727Kb and the supporting Children's Services Strategic Needs Analysis 2009 PDF 808Kb) to improve outcomes and provide integrated services for children, young people and families.

We are committed to working together to make a better future for our children and young people and we will continue to strive to achieve our vision:

• we will make a positive difference to the lives of all Telford and Wrekin’s children, young people and their families, by putting their needs and views at the centre of everything that we do - by listening, working efficiently and effectively in partnership and learning through innovation, we will improve outcomes for all and remove the barriers to achievement
• we will provide access to high quality education, information, advice and early support in the right places at the right time provided by the right people with the right skills and knowledge - by working together we will make a better Telford & Wrekin and a better future for children and young people
